Man you have to convince Junior that it is a lot cheaper to just use the 30-30. Those Ford pickups add a lot to the cost of the meat by the time it hits the dinner plate. If he is going to use the Ford he might consider a lower speed since the inertia would probably kill one at 25mph and do half the damage to the deer as well as the front end. He may have to lead them a little more if they are running though. ;-)
