Brian, Don't give up. Those 3 cyl. Fords are terriffic tractors! There are 3 filters on them. One is a screen in the fuel shut off valve on the tank. Second is a filter in the line looks like a small sediment bowl but has a filter inside. Third is a screen in the brass connector where the fuel line enters the carb. The OEM Holley carb wasn't one of Ford's better ideas. Most guys on the Ford board agree that it's best to just bite the bullet and buy the replacement Zenith. (available from this site)
