Sounds like a tough one. Here are some things I have learned from my mistakes: visually check the timing by clamping a thin piece of paper between the points, then easing the crank towards the timing mark for #1 cylinder. If the paper isn't released at the right time, reset the timing. This works a lot easier if all spark plugs are removed first! With the plugs out and valve cover removed, check for valve action. It might help to make a chart in advance, mapping each cylinder's valve motion relative to cyl #1. I learned this stuff from the old VW and Ferguson TE20, not functionally very different from your Case. Please post again so we can all celebrate your SUCCESS! Goodluck!
