: : I have rebuilt a Misubishi KE70 Engine for a Satoh Tractor. Upon putting the motor and components back together I noticed that my throttle linkage no longer has the resistance and "holding power" that it did before I took it apart. What I mean is that the throttle bar is to easy to move and will not stay in place. The internal spring that connects to the injection pumps is in place and working normally and the spring that keeps the linkage bar from traveling too far is in place . Did I lose an external spring or something. I would appreciate any input.
: I have just purchased a Tractor with the same engine as yours, it needs a over haul. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. ie: Where did you purchase your parts, how hard was the over haul to do? E mail me if you can , or let me know how I can pick your brain. thanks in advance. John G

I actually did not do a complete overhaul. I replaced the head gasket and rings. I honed out the cylinders in the process. It was pretty simple though I have yet to crank it due to my throttle linkage dilemna. The parts were EXPENSIVE but they were delivered to my front door in two days. I got them from "Stull Company" out of PA.(1-800-966-3109).The head gasket was $60.00 and the piston rings were $80.00 per piston.Ypu will have to pull out a piston before you order your rings. A piston with 4 oil return ports is a new design and requires the $80.00 rings. The old design has more holes and its rings are only $40.00. The cylinders have steel sleeves that would require a press if they had to be replaced. If you are going to only do a limited overhaul like I did you will only have to drop the front end from the motor. I have a few torque specs if you need them.(tatej@bellsouth.net) Dont forget to look at your throttle linkage and tell me if I lost a spring.
