I have farmed and worked in the woods of northern minnesota for the past 25 years. I believe the best way to go is to look around for an old but useable cable skidder. This is what I did. Several people have been killed out in the woods by there farm tractors. These tractors have flipped over backwards, rolled to one side or the other if your winching a little to the side. Or they bumped into a tree and the top half came down and flattened them right to the tractor. PLEASE BE CAREFULL IN MAKING THIS WINCH DICISSION. JIM WJ
