I would first pull the drain plug from the bottom of the carb and make sure you have a good gas flow, catch the gas of course. It should flow for at least 5 minutes. If you have a good flow then jumper across the ignition switch and see if that helps. The ignition switches are known to go bad and will work for a few minutes and then they get hot and the engine will die
