Mornin' John, Unless you have entered into a rental agreement with these landowners and if you are taking a cash payment for your services, you are doing what is called "Custom farming". If, on the other hand, you are taking a portion of the crop as your payment or pay a fee for the use of the land and you are actually tending that crop, you are "Share-cropping" or "Renting". If you don't take any monies in or claim any expenses going out, you are "Hobby farming". Sure sounds to me like you are now in the farming business. :>) Allan
