Allan, I am no sure I under stand yer dilema, does that bottom 1/2 not fold up far enough? If so can you do some modification at the pivot points so it can fold a full 180 up against the window on the inside? Can you remove the hinge and ad 2 verticle slides on the bottem half up to the top half and just pull it up like when you open a house window. There has to be a way to avoid remiving the door. Anything else would just be uncivilized!!
