The last time I replaced the belt was 8-10 years ago. The tracker I have has an oil leak that puts some oil on the belt so that probably doesn't help it either. As far as how many miles I don't know for sure I haven't kept track of that. The belts not all the bad to put on if I remember right. Last time I did it I think I pulled the radaitor off so I could see the crankshaft and cam at the same time to line the belt/timing up. I think 8-10 years on a belts not all that bad since this thing sits a lot and its out in the weather all the time also. I also may luck out and find that the belt has/had a life time warrenty on it, I buy stuff like that when ever I can so I can get new for free
