Leland, I can get two differant ones, one is a Gorilla lift, has the lift assist on both trailer rails, the other only has a lift on only one rail and it is a Ballard, The Ballard is $189.00, the Gorilla Lift is 269.95. The Ballard is good to asist up to a 180lb tailgate, the Gorilla lift is good up to 300# tailgate. Says it reduces the lifting by 90% on the Ballard, we have the Gorrilla lift on our trialer and it has been worth every penny to help my dad raise and lower the tailgate on the trailer. Yes, it also helps lower by not having all that weight pulling down on you when you put the tail gate down. Jim
