1991 F250 with a 7.3 180hp @ 3300 RPM Torque 345 @ 1400 RPM 2000 Chevy 2500 with 5.7 255hp @ 4600 RPM Torque 330 @ 2800 RPM 2001 Chevy 2500 with 6.0 300hp @ 4400 RPM Torque 370 @ 4000 RPM Basically you lose some low end starting out power with the newer Chevy gas engines (check the RPMs for the peak torque) but once you're going down the road you can blow the doors off the Ford. My brother drives a 1996 F250 with a Powerstoke and a 2005 Chevy 1500 with the smaller 5.3 engine, he's amazed by the power of the much smaller gas engine.
