I have had fantastic service from my 5010! Been running it for about 29 years now pulling a 12 foot drag scraper that's laser controled. I have no idea how many hours are on it. I'm on the second engine that has probably 7000 hours now and from the clutch back is original except for turning brakes. I found a "new" 5020 in case the old 5010 gives up.

Product Review: Lead Substitutes - by Mike Schordine. Lead was oriinally added to gasoline as an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubes the valves and seats. If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution.
