Bottom line to what they are saying is this. The exact direction the rotor is pointing AND the exact position where the dist housing base bolts on MUST be marked AND recorded so it goes back in EXACTLY where it came out from. Also chalk mark the fan belt/pully so you can make sure the engine hasn't turned slightly before you put it back in. Just HOW you do all this is up to you,but this is what you need to do.
