I have a 67 4020 Diesel. This tractor is my pride and joy. It is the factory 24v split 12v system. As any one with this system knows the generators don't charge very well. This tractor is not my primary tractor I use on the farm So it never really has time to charge. Anybody have or know of someone who has bought the alternator to generator conversion kit from deere to know if it is worth the 200 bucks? And don't tell me to convert to 12 volts. It's pricey and a neighbor down the road bought the 12v conversion from deere last summer and now his tractor wont hardly start in the winter because the starter doesnt crank as good
