Yes... I've got some engines cranked up. Yes, someday I will pay for that feature. Would I turn up a 3306-300? NO. It's spec'd at about it's top rating right there, so anything beyond that and you could likely expect to see problems. If it's worth melting a piston, then go for it. You'll get more power, but it's going to cost you in engine life. If you did take it to 350, then I would not consider that to be anything more than an intermittent rating. You wouldn't want to lug that engine hard for long. It's also going to cost you fuel as there's going to be a lot more going up the stack...
