When you buy at an auction, you take your chances when you buy or sell. Prices are usually way lower than a dealer or private sale. If it ran good otherwise, fixing the starter is a minor repair. There have been way worse things wrong with stuff sold at auctions. Don't worry about it. You probably wished it would have sold for more anyway. Dave
