I am a relativley young guy in here. I was born in 79, yes im only
27. I grew up in Wichita, KS, the big city. Never layed a hand on
a tractor in my life until I met my now wife. We dated for a bit
and then she let me come on out to her place, and this is where i
found out she had inherited 40 acres and the house, all paid for
in full..lol Boy did I strike it lucky. Anyhow, my wifes dad grew
up in Colorado around old internationals and fords. After
helping him around the farm and learning the ropes, i got
hooked, and I got it bad!!! I now have a 1962 Fordson Super
Major, and a 1951 Ferguson TO20.I tore down the Fordson and
rebuilt alot of it, and am currently doing the same to my
ferguson. It helps that I was a Heavy equipment mechanic for
Uncle Sam in the Army for 3 years. I also worked for a
Freightliner service Dept for about 3 years. I apply alot of that
knowledge, along with the help of some of you "older" guys in
here to nurture my addiction to old iron...lol And it doesnt stop
there, as my kids grow up and move away in the future, I am
sure I will end up littering this old farm with multiple old iron
machines. My next yearning calls to the tune of a John Deere
unstyled B, That will be my next treasure hunt!! Thanks guys!!

Today's Featured Article - Ford Part Number Trivia - by Forum Participants. "Replaced by" means the part was superseded. All of my part books date back to 1964 and New Holland have changed some part numbers. They usually put the old Ford part number on the package. I was suppressed when I looked up the part number of the auxiliary drive shaft because for some reason the part number went through a radical change and it lost its "Basic Part Number". Ford part numbers follow the following rules. Most part numbers are in three parts. The middle part is called the ... [Read Article]
