IMO I would think that by the time you drain the system of existing coolant, fill it with this mix, drain it down, flush it, and then put in the correct 50/50 mix of antifreeze...you would be not further ahead in time than to just knock off the grill, radiator, and do it right. I did the water pump on my H not long ago and only had 2 hours in it start to finish. It helps that my H has the access holes to the radiator mounts (not sure if your M is late enough to have these) but even if you M didn't, it's not that major of an undertaking. I would definitely get that water pump out of there and rebuild it. Good luck with it! Billy
