Ebay is OK and you can trust them with your numbers. Where people get in trouble is email scams that "look" like they come from ebay asking to "update your information" They will try to convince you that your acct is "suspended" or you have bought some big ticket item and not paid etc etc NEVER respond to ANY of these emails. Always go to ebay by a known bookmark or type in ebay.com. NEVER go to ebay by an email link and you will be safe.
