Yes I have repaired many as this was my work for years.If it is collapsed first you will find a soldered over small hole.Melt the Solder till you see a hole.Then blow air across this (orafice)till it comes back into shape.This will also remove any gasoline that may be in there.This will return normal buoyancy after you seal that hole you made earlier.You also have to fix the reason if gas got in there.I also used the sealers.
