I had the same problems with my Hesston 1070 MoCo, the problem was I had a broken spring on one side, it's one of the big ones the holds the head up located in the back of the mower, and is adjustible so it can be properly adjusted to float on the field. After replacing the broken spring, I adjusted both of them so that the head was level and just off the ground in the fully down position, and this fixed my problem. When the sickle is touching the ground, it does plug and doesn't cut good, so thats why it is important to adjust it just off the ground. With these springs you can adjust the height of the cut to where you want it. Hope this helps,
