the first thing you need to know you can spend lots on money real fast . the thing about good fence is very important , if not you won't be on good terms with neighbors . we have a problem with wild animals carrying disease in this area . i have to vaccinate my cows to keep them healthly and vacc also for lepto so they will bred and not abort but have live calves . this has been real set back as i have a small herd . only 4 breeding age cows last year should have had 4 calves had 2 live ones OUCH ! do you plan on keeping cows cattle over winter .if so you will need some kind of feed ( hay ). how much will depend on your location . will you buy or raise your feed ? if you have a dry summer you will probably have to buy feed for them . send e-mail if you wish .
