Neighborhood mechanics put a GM V8 engine & 3-speed auto tranny in an F-20 - kept the original manual tranny too. Had to lengthen the rails a bit. Thing will pull a hayrack down the road at 40mph I guess. They mostly use it for blading snow these days.
