i have both acetylene and oxy propane cuting torches. the propane is by far much cheaper to run. oxygen pressures on acetylene for cutting will run anywhere from 30-45 psi. propane you can cut at 10-15psi. propane is a little cooler flame, but once you get the metal hot, it cuts the same. i have tips for propane that cut up to 2" steel, and they fit on the little victor cutting heads. you can also use the little gas grille tanks, they are easy to carry around.
