Wow!I wrote my question last night, and already there are a slew of answers! I think I wrote my question because I was just missing the old iron. Sometimes, I just MUST get next to some machinery (I"m in luck when I"m on a trip and come across a museum full of machinery, like the aircraft museum in Windsor Locks, Conn., or the truck museum s. of Hartford--a quick stop sometimes slakes the thirst). My wife "accepts" this as part of my occasional nuttiness. Is it any nuttier than loving quilts or bedspreads?
