sorry, didn't mean to sound rude.. and yes I have checked the oil before, about every other day.. and this is the first time I have smelled gas in the oil. it burned a bit of oil before, and smoked a bit on startup.. but now there is very little oil left. and three days ago before I went on a 16 mile trip everything was fine.. I am not sure what is goig on.. thanks again, Tim Shultz
