Harvest is going on. That's when things get crazy. Well I noticed the 826 was low on antifreeze. Grabbed a blue jug because antifreeze comes in blue jugs. Took the seal off and started to pour. Probably got about a tablespoon in before I realized that antifreeze isn't red! Filled 'er up with another gallon and a half of antifreeze (it was green, that's better) and went back to work. I'll flush it as soon as I get the chance, but what's the odds I'm doing damage with just a little of the wrong stuff in there? That was Dexron III/Mercon (ATF) I dumped in by accident (it was also in a blue jug.) Well, no more than I put in, I'm not expecting anything major, it being well diluted. But still--what sort of trouble am I looking at? Will I need to replace a radiator hose or two?
