I have been trying to find information on how the Lp unit works on my 450. It quit running 2 years ago when my son was
pulling out cedar trees. It has never run since. I had a problem with the unit freezing up and i just found that problem. It was the
water line cloged that kept it from having water circulation. I have taken the unit apart and tried to study the design. But have
no real clue as to what lets the gas pass through the unit. I assembled the unit back together then turned the propane on, it filled
up and still wouldn't start. I checked the points and made sure it was firing. I noticed it has what appears to be a 1/4" tubing
that goes to the Manifold and I assume causes a vacuum to mable make the unit open up the fuel. No good, I then tried
starting fluid in the manifold directly to see idf that would make it fire, and hope it would then create the necessary vaccum
needed. I give up, are there any books out there or someone with working knowledge of these things. It couldn't have been
that technical back in the fifties. Please Help. Eric
