Previous post on alt installed on JD LA that wasn't charging has been solved. The general concensus was that it wasn't spinning fast enough as the alt had standard 2 1/2" pulley on it and LA's don't run at much above idle by todays standards. I put a 1 3/4" diameter pulley on as that was the smallest I could find locally. Start tractor, briefly accelerate to close to max engine rpm & alternator energizes itself & charges at 10-20 amps even at idle until batt charged back up.. So thanks to all that responded and helped solve it!
