Nothing wrong with a grey market tractor purchase. Just a few things to be wary of, #1- the tractor will most probably be as least 20 years old. #2-(I cannot stress this enough) buy from a reputable dealer that has been in business for quite a while, no newbies, an established dealer will know which tractors have parts supply problems and also will be able to supply you with parts and service for your tractor. #3- RUN AWAY from one that has been "rebuilt" in Vietnam that shows a new pretty paint job and close to 0 hours. Of course there is quite a bit of refurbishing done by reputable dealers when they get here fluids, filters, battery, seat, some do paint them as well but it's a running working tractor when it comes off the container. The Vietnam rebuilders get's the tractors that the Japan yards absolutely cannot sell to anyone else.
