Looking through a book of Nebraska tests that I have, it would appear that the massey is 430 odd pounds heavier. I believe that is an "as tested" weight, which means that it is ballasted in the manner that the manufacture chose to ballast the tractor for the test..... so the massey may have been ballasted, and the Ford not, or the other way around... I doubt there's much real difference in the capabilities of those two tractors although the Massey has a bit more power. Where the weight is placed is quite important in how it handles a heavy load like a bale. Truth be told, both are rather light for handling bales without quite a bit of front weight. I don't think I'd trade unless I really wanted the diesel either.... but I am more partial to Ford. HTH. Rod
