Make sure that your pressure cap is holding pressure, the water pump drive belt is tight and not slipping, the lower radiator hose is not collapsing, the mixture is not too lean, the timing is correct and the advance is working properly, the coolant is 50/50 antifreeze and clean water and that the radiator is not overfilled leading to overflow.
