I have one on my '38 F14. As Cowman said, gear pump off left side, cast "manifold" to lift unit under seat. Lift unit is reservoir for system, control lever is on front left side of unit.

As is typical for the time, it's an "all or nothing" unit. Flip the lever one way and the rockshaft arms are all the way forward (or down) and flip it the other way, and they're all the way back (or up).

Entire unit is dead simple, common lip seals on the shafts, easy to make your own gaskets where needed.
