You should be able to use a spin spreader, then lightly drag the field with a log chain or board.

If you don't have access to a pto-drive spin spreader, a hand-crank unit might be your best bet. Instead of walking it on, you could use a four wheeler, pickup, or tractor - just sit backwards on the back end while someone else drives. ;->
