i should have been a little clearer. if you foul up your pickup, no big deal. if you foul up a n14 or a bc, no big deal. i can buy another for $2000. if you destroy a kta 600, you've wasted $14,000 or so. more if you melt or scatter a 3408. a 71 detroit is around $150 a hole, unless you ruin a crank. with a 12V71, 90 injectors, and twin turbos, it would equal a kt, unless you have the kt turned up to the point that it is going to come apart. raw fuel at an idle is a waste, and alot of "bruce's children" could't pass the smoke check. he even wrote an article on where to hide the switch, and the dot man in question thanked him! now he knows right where to look! but if you's guys are farmers, it don't matter, because most of the farmers around here run trucks that would never pass dot!
