I was not too sharp, so I asked why not?
He said that politics and religion were both deeply rooted in emotion. When emotional issues get discussed one is forced to either agree or "be wrong". It's why men and women have unresolved differences, they tend to emote differently.
Logic and reason don't have any thing to do with it.
This entire topic is too close to religion to ever be resolved. JMHO
