There is an oil seal in that plate and a gasket between the plate and the block. At least that's what shows in the parts book for my MF-135 that covers a generation newer Perkins. You may also need to Tachometer drive connector because that's what the oil seal seals on and if its too worn a new seal won't seal either. Gerald J.
