Bore da; Here is the English built Ferguson FE-35 from 1956 to 58 period. Its basically the same model as the US built tractor, but was released here about 12 months later than the US version. It features the "disasterous" 4 cylinder diesel engine built by the Standard Motor Company, an indirect injection motor that would not start ! The main problem was there was only 1 glow plug heater element fitted into the inlet manifold. The rest of the tractor almost identical to the US built version except for small bits like the electrics. They also made a small number fitted with the 4 cylinder gas-TVO (vapourising oil) engine which was a peach - this engine was still available up to 1964 in the MF35X tractor. These 1st tractors were painted gold & grey, then in 1958 the colour changed to the normal MF grey chassis with red tinwork. Cheers David
