Willys Jeeps were 4 cylinder half flathead/half overhead valve- sort of like Indian 4s/pocket valve Harleys/early Rolls Royce. Ford built Jeeps had flathead 4 engines. Early Kaisers had 6 cyl flatheads in pickups, wagons, FC170 similar to Dodge (was told to check for parts interchange). Possible to find some Ford flatheads in some Willys Jeeps as swaps by military contractor/rebuilders, especially if former military surplus from commonwealth army- Ford was larger supplier for lend-lease, Willys production did most of American army supply.
