Charles Sorenson who was Henry Ford's righthand man for 40 years left Ford in 1944 and joined Willys. There is an excellent book about the postwar Jeeps showing their development from the WW2 Willys & GPW, many photographs showing the field trials & development of the CJ-2A taken on Sorrenson's farm. Almost all the jobs that could be done with a tractor could be done (almost) as well with a Jeep. If anyone is interested I will ry to dig out my book (from the 104 boxes of stuff still in store) and pass on the full title of the book. Cheers david
