Had a dealing with an older genteman in our area that was a dedicated collector of everyting, and regularly sold some things, my wife and I happened on to him by ansewering a ad for barn wood, and upon going to his place to inspect/buy said wood, found that he collected milk bottles and other dairy memoribilia, my wifes father used to haul milk when it was shipped in cans, and saw several items she wanted to fill her collection, when inquiring , and telling the old man about her fathers route, it turned out the old mans relatives used my wifes father to haul their milk, but even so , he wouldn't part with the items she was interested in, but took our phone number, and said thet he would call us if he changed his mind.....well 2 years later we got a call at about 7 in the evining , he told us if we still wanted the items he would sell them to us for xx dollars , the wife made a bee-line over to his place because his asking price was about half of what she was willing to pay....so I say be patient, he already said he would contact you first, and most old timers would like to see their stuff go somewhere it would be used/appreciated by whoever buys it .
