Take what rain you can when you can get it! By "old" cabbed tractor I hope you mean IH 86 series or newer... or (gasp) a JD with sound-guard cab. We have a 1256 with cab and I wish it was gone. It just makes it noisier and hotter, and it rattles. Had an 806 with cab as well - same deal there. I would rather run without a cab. The only exception is feeding cattle in the winter when the tractor never gets over 1/2 throttle... the heat is nice.
