David, I showed steers when I was in High School. They were called Baby Beeves at that time. We had only 3 breeds Shorthorn, Herford, and Angus. 3 classes in each light, medium, and heavy weight. I will personally tell you that when it is 0 degrees F out side and a #1000 steer steps on your foot he will always make a 90 degree turn before he removes it. The ones showing breeding stock also had 2 breeds of Herfords and Shorthorns Polled and Horned.
