Yup! My older-than-dirt JD 5' hog cost me $25 because the guy I got it from thought it was toast. He told me it needed several hundred $$$ to fix it. I spent less than $20 on some common "off-the-shelf" parts and it has been going strong for 5 years. Pull it behind my 8N and have zipped 2" cedars with it without even noticing. I also have broken a FEW shear bolts, but all but 2 or 3 were with a larger tractor, and 90% were when I first got the mower. I have only broken 1 this year behind the 8N. Takes about a minute to replace.
