This is a common problem on the Farmalls. Do a post on the Farmall board for "Bob M" about this. We did a Super H this spring. A worn sector gear was a big problem so I put in a good used one. This helped a lot. We had already checked the wheel bearings and they were OK. We replaced the bolster bushing, upper bolster seal and bearings but I don't think these were that much of a problem either. We adjusted things, it was better, but we still found a lot of slop to be in the steering shaft universals and replaced them. Mu experience--hope this helps.
