Thoiught about posting this to the question below, but thought it might get lost... My copy of "The American Car Since 1775" by Automobile Quarterly (1971) shows: The DEERE-CLARK car produced 1906 by the Deere-Clark Motor Car Co of Moline, Ill, which became the DEERE car, produced 1906-07 by the same company, "which started as John Deere Plow Works". ALSO LISTED in the books' verified production TRUCK section is the DEERE truck, produced 1906-07 by the same Deere-Clark company. The book has a separate truck section for names for which they could find no proof of production; this separate section includes prototypes and experimental vehicles, so they must've found something they felt verified production of a Deere truck. Unfortunately, it's a name list only; no production figures or type (tonnage) references. Perhaps someone with an updated edition (if there are any) can advise if the same data still shows.
