old, my Dad had an extensive collection of arrowheads and the like. A lot my sisters and I help find. We dug in old Indian mounds, or camps as most were.
We have regular arrowheads ie "Andice points' bird points, Corner-tang knives, spear points, Breast plates. Dad found a skellten when us kids were little but don't remember what happened to it.
Dad always used a shovel, garden-fork, pick. But in the yrs after I went to the panhandle Dad hooked up with a friend of mine, who uses a Bobcat skidsteer loader and a skreen. To sift everything and not miss the little points and stuff.
