JD Hydraulic

I have a 1963 JD 2010 tractor. I"ve owned it for two months. The hydraulic"s has been acting up the past couple days. I"ve been pushing off a hedge row with my blade. It works fine for 30 minutes, then it want lift the blade at all. If I turn the tractor off for about five minutes the hydraulic"s works. It also makes a noise when I try lifting the blade.
Then the same thing over again.
Could this be the hydraulic filter needs changing. Any help would be appreseated
