I found myself in a similar situation last year. Got married and joined my wife when I retired from the AF. We've got 10 acres, most of which is fields that hadn't been taken care of in over a decade other than being mowed a couple times a year. Fortunately for me, my father-in-law gave me his old tractor (International Harvester 404) and I bought a 5-foot bush hog to go with it. That does the job nicely. I can understand not wanting to spend your life mowing! But... the bigger the cutter, the bigger the tractor you'll need--and the more both will cost. One option might be to buy a 4-wheeler and a self-powered bush hog to pull behind it. Good luck! Tom
