Those look like the type of balls that concrete companies use to "beat out" the hard crusty stuff that collects on the inside of thier trucks and plants. The ones I am used to seeing were anywhere from 2" in diameter, up to 5"-6". You just throw a buch of each size into the truck (or batch plant) add a little water - get GOOD ear muffs - and let 'er rip! It don't take long and all the crud is knocked off of the insides! I've seen fertilizer companies and dirt companies use these as well.
